the forest seemed a lovely place
to spend an afternoon in quiet
i woke to find the day's sunshine
had been traded for the blue of the night
i felt my way through the twilight brush
trying to find a way back
there was a camping grounds
i was drawn in by the light of the fire
the fire fed my cold cold hands
the camping grounds appeared to be safe
but all the tents had been torn apart
as if something had attacked them in their sleep
in a dark cave slept a grizzly bear
dreaming of a forest without work
i was on the run
racing to the moon behind the trees
suddenly i was on a path
i raced down that path and fell off a ledge
the river's water was icy cold
as i drifted around it's narrow bends
i was finally free
i was on my way to the sun
